Last night I stuck Q-tips in my ears
In this time of longer Q-tips and noses
I didn't think I'd gone too far
Just a few prods and twists
In the ear cavity
And then out again
Yet as I got into bed
I felt an aura of irritation
My ears seemed disturbed
Awakened
Attuned not to sound
But to infection
