Before I believed in love
I had to clean my room -
I had to know my own bridges :(
to the flowers :(
I had to kill death and be like, wow...
And back off and let it live.
I don't think life should be this way.
Love should be as easy as falling
through an open manhole.
Trust should be as common as a stranger
across the street.
But my ropes were full of knots.
May future sailors glide along by my good and careful work
and rescue forever all the time I spent loosening the way.
Hi, I am the sun. I love it. I come up every day.
On earth the people bitch. They look up and moan, "oh no, it's cloudy, it's rainy."
But - Hi - I am right here. Every day I come up is a sunny day. Actually.
I have to admit. It hurts to be forgotten. I suppose people are short-sighted.
Guys - I'm right here. Use your brain! Remember? Every day?
But everyone's having too much fun trying out their eyes
and connecting to the feelings weather brings to their bodies.
It does look fun. They know about things I can't even fathom.
Would you believe - I have never seen a shadow.
I imagine a shadow looks like how I feel when people try to tell me it isn't sunny.
Anyway - I get it. It's no big deal! We'll try again tomorrow. I love it. I come up every day.
