That which does not want to be seen
Hides in the shadows
But I can see him
Afraid
Monsters are brought before the tribunal
Masked and shackled
Remorse like a cheap suit
Ill fitting and superficial
At the galactic core
We hold certain truths to be self regulated
To create a society of equals
Personification of justice in the guise of mistrust
That which needs to be unseen
Holds all of the cards
Manipulates complacency
Reminds the futile gestures of equality of their ultimate
irrelevance
And so this is the soil where we grow our destiny
Seeking sustainability as the unregulated tear at the fabric
Leaving us the tatters of their indifference
Mending what may be a lingering foreboding of an indifferent
future
Today is the first day of the new year
We stand tall into the winds of charged particles
Taking us to dimensionless space
Where nothing is fixed, nothing set in stone
Let us rise and face those in the shadows
And tell them no more
Face the future in glorious embrace
With the earth, sea and sky.
